WinCenter Helps GovCon Drive Enterprise Value from $15m to $50m in 2 Years

WinCenter can add business value. The ultimate proof of adding business value to our small and mid-sized GovCon customers is when they have big jumps in revenues year to year and when this growth leads them to an acquisition for a lot of money.

One of our customers just got purchased for $50m by L3. Two years before their enterprise value was about $15m. WinCenter was a core piece of this revenue growth and financial success. Here is an update on their story.

Before using WinCenter, their prime contract revenue was less than $4m for 4 years. The rocket sciences market was heating up. They wanted to take advantage of it to grow. They wanted to bid more and win more.

WinCenter enabled them to broaden and drive participation across their organization to support more bids without increases in resources. As a result, they grew 100% in prime contract revenue in the first year of use. That is when we wrote the article above.

In their second year, they also grew 100% again in new contracts. Now, L3 has swooped in an bought them for $50m in a public deal. The owners made alot of money. And, the employees were also rewarded. It was an explosive 2 years of prime contract revenue growth with a great financial result.

I spoke to our champion at the company after the acquisition and asked him how he would summarize the value of WinCenter in this story. He said “WinCenter was worth $35m. That is how much our enterprise value grew over those 2 years. It is not that it was everything. But, without it there was no way that our organization would have been able to scale and take advantage of the market explosion in rocket sciences. It was the catalyst.”

During those 2 years our customer worked more than 400 opportunities through their WinCenter process and submitted more than 100 proposals. They had dramatically scaled their business. Because of the success of our customer using WinCenter, when they were purchased by L3, they were allowed to continue using WinCenter to drive their business.
